First seen Mar 23, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study explored whether common treatments for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) affect the surface of the eye. Researchers compared 60 women with PCOS (taking either birth control pills or fertility medication) to 30 healthy women. They measured tear quality, oil glands, and retinal blood vessels before and after 3 and 6 months of treatment. The goal was to understand how PCOS and its treatments impact eye health.
