New fertility showdown: can a safer, simpler egg maturation method beat standard IVF for PCOS?

NCT ID NCT07171970

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study compares two fertility treatments for women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). One is a simpler method called the SAIGON protocol, which matures eggs outside the body without strong hormones and transfers a fresh embryo. The other is standard IVF with frozen embryo transfer. The goal is to see which approach leads to more live births while being safer and easier for patients. About 600 women will take part.
