First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study compares two treatments to reduce blood loss during heart surgery: a concentrated clotting factor (PCC) and fresh frozen plasma (FFP). About 820 adults having certain heart surgeries will be randomly assigned to receive one of these treatments. The main goal is to see if PCC is as good as FFP at reducing bleeding in the first 24 hours after surgery.
