New pill trial offers hope for controlling rare, aggressive tumors
NCT ID NCT01876082
Summary
This study tested whether a daily pill called pazopanib could control the growth of aggressive desmoid tumors better than standard chemotherapy. It involved 72 adults whose tumors were growing and causing symptoms. Participants were randomly assigned to receive either the pazopanib pill or a combination of two chemotherapy drugs for up to one year.
