First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests a device called AngioVac that suctions out infected growths (vegetations) from the right side of the heart in people with a serious heart infection called infective endocarditis. About 30 adults with large growths will be enrolled to see if the procedure is safe and helps them survive without needing more surgery. The goal is to control the infection and avoid long-term complications.
