First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looked at whether patients like having an AI notetaker listen in on their doctor's appointment and then receive a summary or next-steps plan by email. About 191 adults who had a GP visit took part. They filled out questionnaires before and after the visit, and some got an AI-written summary. The goal was to learn how patients feel about AI in the exam room, not to treat any disease.
