New heart valve procedure could offer hope for patients with leaky tricuspid valve
NCT ID NCT07321899
First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tests a new device, the Medtronic Intrepid™ system, to replace the tricuspid valve in people with severe leakage (regurgitation) that causes symptoms despite medication. About 1,186 participants will receive the valve through a catheter (tube) inserted in a vein, avoiding open-heart surgery. The goal is to reduce valve leakage, improve quality of life, and lower risks of death, heart failure hospitalization, or need for another procedure.
