Summary
This study is testing whether giving low-income pregnant women a personal navigator—someone to help them overcome barriers to care—leads to healthier outcomes for both mother and baby. About 600 first-time mothers will be randomly assigned to receive either a navigator or standard care. The goal is to see if this support reduces serious complications like high blood pressure, preterm birth, and NICU stays.
