NCT ID NCT06812702
First seen Mar 22, 2026 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tested whether a smartphone app can reliably detect and track movement symptoms in people with early or full Parkinson's disease. Researchers followed 230 participants, including those with a sleep disorder that often leads to Parkinson's, for one year. Participants used a phone app for daily tests and remote monitoring, and also had neurological exams, brain scans, and optional skin biopsies to look for a protein linked to Parkinson's. The goal was to find better ways to identify and monitor the disease in its earliest stages.
