Smart leg device could unfreeze Parkinson's walking
NCT ID NCT06416345
Summary
This study is testing a wearable leg device called Cue2Walk that aims to help people with Parkinson's disease who experience 'freezing of gait'—a sudden, temporary inability to move their feet forward. The device automatically detects these freezing episodes and provides rhythmic sounds or vibrations as cues to help restart walking. Researchers are comparing how well this device works and its cost-effectiveness against usual care for 84 participants over several months.
