Scientists test groundwork for future Parkinson's pill in healthy volunteers

NCT ID NCT06088784

Summary

This was an early-stage study to check the safety of a new oral drug called ATH-399A, which is being developed to treat Parkinson's disease. Researchers gave the drug to 76 healthy adult volunteers to see how their bodies reacted to it and processed it, including whether taking it with food made a difference. The main goal was to gather basic safety information to see if the drug is suitable for future testing in people who actually have Parkinson's.
