First seen Jan 25, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This early-stage study tests whether a focused ultrasound technique can safely open the blood-brain barrier to deliver a protein called GCase directly to a key brain region in people with Parkinson's disease. The goal is to improve motor symptoms and potentially slow disease progression. Fourteen participants with mild to moderate Parkinson's will receive the treatment and be monitored for side effects and effectiveness.
