Brain scans probe Parkinson's hidden clues to falls and freezing
NCT ID NCT05459753
Summary
This study aims to understand how changes in certain brain chemicals are linked to walking difficulties, balance problems, and cognitive changes in people with Parkinson's disease. Researchers will perform special brain scans (PET scans) on about 125 participants at the start of the study and again two years later. The goal is to track how these brain changes evolve over time and relate to the progression of symptoms.
