Ear zaps and therapy show promise for Parkinson's balance

NCT ID NCT07440563

First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a gentle electrical stimulation to the ear (auricular vagus nerve stimulation) combined with standard physical therapy can improve balance, walking, and other symptoms in people with Parkinson's disease. About 20 adults with mild to moderate Parkinson's will participate. The goal is to see if this safe, non-invasive approach offers extra benefits over therapy alone.
