First seen Mar 07, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a special heart scan and blood test can better predict sudden cardiac arrest in people with heart disease who already have an implantable defibrillator (ICD). About 300 participants will be followed to see if these tests can identify who is at highest risk. The goal is to improve how doctors decide who needs an ICD.
