First seen Apr 19, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looks at how much time parents spend with their premature babies in the NICU, including skin-to-skin contact and care. Researchers want to see if more parent involvement helps prevent depression, strengthens bonding, and improves baby growth and development. About 90 families from Nagano Children's Hospital in Japan are taking part by keeping a diary of their interactions.
