First seen Apr 01, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looks at whether allowing family members to take part in daily ICU rounds (when doctors and nurses discuss the patient's care) improves how engaged families feel. About 194 family members of ICU patients across 6 Canadian hospitals will be involved. The goal is to see if this practice boosts communication, satisfaction, and reduces anxiety.
