Can a phone app and cash boost Kids' brains? tanzania study says maybe.
NCT ID NCT05598970
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether digital tools and cash payments can help parents in Tanzania give their children a stronger start in life. Over 3,500 pregnant women were split into groups: some got parenting support via community health workers using a phone app, some got cash transfers, some got both, and some got neither. The goal was to see if these approaches improve children's thinking, language, and nutrition by age 15 months.
