Summary
This study looked at whether parents' confidence in letting their child be independent affects how much pain children feel after minor surgery. About 150 children aged 3 to 18 and their parents took part at a hospital in Turkey. Parents filled out questionnaires, and children's pain was measured using a simple pain scale. No treatments were given—the goal was simply to learn more about how family support can improve care.
