New program aims to help parents manage Autism-Related meltdowns in toddlers

NCT ID NCT07471594

Summary

This study is testing whether a special parent training program can be successfully added to existing early intervention services for toddlers showing signs of autism. The program teaches parents strategies to help their children better manage emotions and reduce challenging behaviors like meltdowns. Researchers will work with 40 families and their service providers to see if the training is practical, acceptable, and shows early signs of reducing parenting stress and improving children's emotion regulation.
