Parent power: new study aims to boost diabetes control in kids

Summary
This study will test if giving parents of children with type 1 diabetes special education and motivational interviews can improve their child's diabetes self-management and quality of life. About 42 parents of children aged 8-12 will take part. The goal is to see if supporting parents leads to better blood sugar control and happier families.
