Summary
This study compares new PET scans using a radioactive tracer (18F-FCH) to standard CT scans for locating overactive parathyroid glands or tumors before surgery. About 193 adults scheduled for parathyroid removal will receive both types of scans, then undergo surgery. The goal is to see if the new method is more accurate, potentially reducing the need for repeat surgeries.
