First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 37 times
Summary
This pilot study looked at whether paraprofessional coaches (some with personal experience of substance use) can help young adults involved in the justice system reduce their drug use. The study involved 35 participants and measured drug use through urine tests over several months. The main goal was to understand how the coaches themselves fared and whether their lived experience made a difference.
