First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 35 times

Summary

This pilot study looked at whether paraprofessional coaches (some with personal experience of substance use) can help young adults aged 18-26 who are involved in the justice system reduce their drug use. The study measured drug use through urine tests and self-reported confidence in staying abstinent. It focused on the coaches' own outcomes and the role of their lived experience.
