What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

papaya leaf extract

What this could lead to

If it works, this could offer a simple, natural way to help children with dengue recover faster and avoid serious complications like bleeding or ICU stays.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-phase trial with only 100 children. The extract may not significantly improve platelet counts, and results may not apply to all dengue patients.
