Doctors track 10-Year data on pancreatic tumor 'Heat Zap' procedure
NCT ID NCT04693754
Summary
This study is creating a database to collect information on patients who have received a specific heat treatment for pancreatic tumors. The treatment, called endoscopic ultrasound radiofrequency ablation (RFA), uses a scope to deliver heat to destroy tumor tissue. Researchers will gather data from medical records for up to 10 years to learn about the procedure's safety and how patients do afterward. No new treatments are being tested; this is purely an information-gathering effort.
