Lab-Grown mini tumors could unlock personalized pancreatic cancer care

NCT ID NCT06666803

First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study aims to grow miniature versions of pancreatic tumors (called organoids) from small biopsy samples taken during a routine endoscopic procedure. Researchers will check if these lab-grown organoids match the original tumor's genetics and behavior. The goal is to eventually use these organoids to test which drugs might work best for each patient, but this study is focused on proving the method works.
