New surgical method aims to cut pancreatic cancer recurrence

NCT ID NCT04902352

Summary

This study is testing whether a specific surgical technique called 'peri-adventitial dissection' improves outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients. During pancreas removal surgery, surgeons will either use this technique or standard methods to see which approach better removes all cancer cells from a critical blood vessel margin. The goal is to reduce cancer left behind after surgery, which could help patients live longer.
