New study aims to sharpen pancreatic cancer predictions using existing data

Summary

This observational study looks at whether combining information from CT scans, blood tests, and pathology reports can more accurately predict how pancreatic cancer will progress. Researchers will collect data from medical records of about 1,030 people who had surgery for pancreatic cancer. Participants will not need any extra tests or treatments, but will receive a follow-up phone call every 3 months for up to 3 years.
