New cocktail of chemo drugs shows promise for tough pancreatic cancer

NCT ID NCT03415854

First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tested a combination of three chemotherapy drugs (paclitaxel protein bound, gemcitabine, and cisplatin) in 34 people with metastatic pancreatic cancer that had not been treated before. If the cancer got worse, a fourth drug (paricalcitol) was added. The goal was to see how well the treatment shrank tumors and helped people live longer. The study is complete, but results are not yet widely available.
