First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This observational study looks at how well antibiotics given through a vein reach infected fluid collections in the pancreas of patients with severe acute pancreatitis. Researchers will compare antibiotic levels in the pancreatic fluid and blood from 40 adults undergoing drainage. The study does not change standard care and may help doctors choose better antibiotic doses in the future.
