New drug cocktail shows promise for Hard-to-Treat ovarian cancer

NCT ID NCT05494580

First seen Apr 04, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tested a combination of two drugs, pamiparib and surufatinib, in 29 women with ovarian cancer that had stopped responding to platinum chemotherapy and had already been treated with a PARP inhibitor. The goal was to see if the combo could slow or stop cancer growth. The approach targets cancer cells and the blood vessels that feed tumors, aiming to control the disease rather than cure it.
