First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study looked at how being very aware of pain before vaginal surgery affects pain, bladder and bowel function, and sexual life after surgery. Researchers measured pain awareness, pain-related thinking, pelvic floor symptoms, and sexual function in 77 women before and after surgery. The goal was to see if higher pain awareness leads to worse recovery outcomes.
