Summary
This study aims to understand why pain levels differ from person to person and over time, and whether people can train their natural pain management systems, similar to athletic training. Researchers will study 180 adults, some with widespread muscle pain and some without, using pain tests and brain scans. The goal is to learn how to improve the body's ability to control pain.
