Patch before surgery may cut painkiller use in lung operations

NCT ID NCT07591220

First seen May 23, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether placing a loxoprofen sodium patch on the skin before thoracoscopic lung surgery can lower pain after the operation. About 156 adults aged 8 to 64 having lung surgery will be randomly assigned to get the patch or a placebo. The main goal is to see if the patch reduces the amount of extra pain medicine needed in the first 48 hours after surgery.
