New painkiller could ease recovery after lung surgery

Summary
This study compares a long-acting painkiller (liposomal bupivacaine) to a standard one for pain after lung surgery. About 210 adults having keyhole lung surgery will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two painkillers or no nerve block. The goal is to see if the long-acting version provides better pain relief and reduces the need for other pain medicines.
