Cancer researchers test new Pain-Blocking shot for lung procedures
NCT ID NCT05044468
Summary
This study is testing which of two numbing medicines works better to reduce chest pain after a lung procedure. The procedure involves looking inside the chest, taking a tissue sample, and placing a small drainage tube. Researchers will compare a newer long-acting numbing medicine (EXPAREL) against a standard one (lidocaine) in 80 adult patients with lung cancer.
