Cancer pain relief trial tests new Long-Lasting numbing shot
NCT ID NCT05044468
Summary
This study is testing which of two numbing medicines works better to reduce chest pain after a specific lung procedure. It involves 80 adults with lung cancer who are having a biopsy and a small tube placed in their chest. Researchers will compare a newer, long-lasting numbing medicine (EXPAREL) against a standard one (lidocaine) to see which provides better and longer pain relief after the procedure.
