First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study looked at whether taking an oral muscle relaxant (tizanidine) before spinal anesthesia can improve pain control and reduce the need for extra painkillers after lower limb surgery. 64 adults scheduled for elective leg surgery took part. The goal was to see if the combination works better than spinal anesthesia alone.
