Summary
This study compares a nerve block (injecting numbing medicine near the ear) to standard pain shots (fentanyl and ketorolac) for children aged 6 months to 6 years having ear tube surgery. The goal is to see if the nerve block works just as well for pain control while avoiding opioid side effects like nausea or breathing problems. 300 children will take part, and neither they nor their doctors will know which treatment they receive.
