New combo shot aims to ease pain during uterine exam

NCT ID NCT06653400

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a pain-relieving drug (ketorolac) to the standard numbing medicine (lidocaine) can reduce pain during a hysteroscopy, a procedure to look inside the uterus. About 60 women will be randomly assigned to receive either the combination or lidocaine alone. The goal is to find a better way to manage discomfort and improve patient experience.
