New combo may ease pain after breast surgery

Summary
This study tested whether adding a single dose of a muscle relaxant pill (tizanidine) to a nerve block (erector spinae plane block) improves pain control after mastectomy. 90 women scheduled for breast removal surgery took part. The goal was to see if the combination delays the need for extra pain medicine and reduces pain scores.
