First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tested whether a nerve block called an erector spinae plane block can reduce pain and the need for painkillers after robotic-assisted partial kidney removal. Forty-six adults aged 18-70 were randomly assigned to receive either the nerve block or standard care. The goal was to see if this approach improves comfort and shortens hospital stays.
