First seen Dec 18, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested two pain relief methods after total hip replacement: a nerve block (erector spinae plane block) versus a small dose of morphine injected into the spinal fluid. The goal was to see which method helps patients walk sooner after surgery. 70 adults aged 18-60 participated. The main measure was how quickly patients could take 10 steps without help.
