First seen Dec 18, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tested two pain relief methods after total hip replacement: a nerve block (erector spinae plane block) versus morphine injected into the spine. 70 adults were randomly assigned to one of the two groups. The main goal was to see which method helped patients walk 10 steps without support sooner after surgery. Pain scores, hospital stay length, and patient satisfaction were also measured.
