Summary
This study tested whether injecting a long-lasting numbing medicine near the chest muscles (PECS/SAP blocks) can reduce pain after minimally invasive heart surgery. 210 adults having robot-assisted mitral valve repair took part. The main goal was to see if the blocks improved a combined pain and side-effect score over the first three days after surgery.
