New study tests ways to cut opioid use after back surgery

Summary
This study aims to find the best way to manage pain after spinal fusion surgery while reducing the need for opioid painkillers. Researchers will compare three different pain control techniques in 84 patients undergoing back surgery. They'll measure pain levels and opioid use, and check a saliva marker to see how well each method works.
