Pain pump or nerve block: which works better for surgery recovery?
NCT ID NCT07349810
First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study compares two methods for controlling pain after outpatient orthopedic surgeries like ACL repair or rotator cuff surgery: a continuous pain pump versus a single nerve block given before surgery. About 80 adults will be randomly assigned to one of the two groups. The goal is to see which approach provides better pain relief and reduces the need for painkillers during recovery.
