Summary

This study looked at whether adding the antidepressant venlafaxine to standard pain medicines (gabapentin, methadone, oxycodone) can better control pain and improve quality of life in people with head and neck cancer receiving chemoradiation. About 62 patients took part. The goal was to see if the combination reduces pain and side effects during and after treatment.
