New study aims to ease pain of IVF egg retrieval

Summary

This study tests if giving pain medicine before egg retrieval can reduce pain during the procedure. About 177 women having IVF will be randomly assigned to receive indomethacin, paracetamol, or a placebo. Pain levels will be measured right after the procedure and for several days afterward.
